Our vacation (part 1)...

We took a long-awaited and very much needed vacation this summer to catch up with a very close friend of mine, Mona, who I haven't been in contact with for the past few years until we got back in touch this past winter. Both of our families had an absolutely wonderful time and here is some of what we did together.

We met up on Toronto for a few days the first part of our trip. We went to the Toronto Zoo in an attempt to get all the way through the zoo, something that we had been unable to accomplish last year. We still didn't get all the way through, but we had a splendid time going through the areas that we did get through.

This was Kirah's first pony ride. She seemed very unimpressed by the whole experience, but enjoyed it all the same.

I felt so sorry for these poor bears. Everyone was clamoring to try to see them as it was a new exhibit at the zoo and the poor bears were hot and tired. lol

These next four shots were taken at a backdrop that they had at the entrance of the zoo. It was quite interesting to see how they turned out. It made Nya look as if she was a dwarf in front of the lifesize gorilla and as if we were all in the midst of the jungle. lol

This was probably the best picture that I got of the girls altogether. lol It was a real challenge trying to get them all looking in the same direction, correct direction or not, all at the same time.

It was fantastic to finally get back together after so many years!
